Graduate in Sociology from the University of Warsaw, he also studied Sociology at the University of Copenhagen and Economics at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH). He gained previous professional experience at, among others, the Centre for Eastern Studies (OSW), government institutions, and non-governmental organizations.

His research focuses on international trade, with particular emphasis on trade and economic development in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as on the European Union’s enlargement policy. He regularly publishes analyses on the Ukrainian economy and the prospects of Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
